I have recently started offering Yurts and Gers for hire and purchase. These are Mongolian nomadic tents which are well suited to use in this country. I lived in one through a beautiful summer and chilly English Winter. Too warm and I could roll the sides up and when winter set in, I spent many an evening around the cosy wood burner which kept the yurt warm throughout the night. Yurts are ideal for receptions, family camping trips, workshop spaces, spare rooms and children’s playhouses.

I can construct Yurts from 8’ to 16’ diameter. These can be made from either coppiced round wood poles or sawn timber depending on your preference. The weatherproof Yurt covers can also be made to order or a fact sheet supplied to manufacture your own.

Two sizes of yurts are presently available for hire or purchase: a 16’ Bentwood Yurt and a 21’ Mongolian Ger. These are available, with or without a wood-burning stove, for purchase or hire on a daily, week-end or weekly basis, including transportation to site, assembly and disassembly.
